Probing

Today wasn't too bad. It took a little practice to stop hurting Laurie when I probed the col area but I got better. I passed off another PE. I got my health history PE back today as well. I almost didn't pass because I forgot to circle where I would have the instructor sign on the HH form. Thank heavens for forgiving instructors! If you read this Prof. Costley - THANKS!! The explorer

Well, what can I say? Today was interesting. I was surprised at how much I need to learn. I learned I have some habits that I need to change in a hurry. It was challenging to learn the whole role thing & remember to keep my fingers together & use my wrist & elbow to pivot. I'll get it w/ some practice. I did enjoy working in a real mouth though! Intraoral exams

Today we learned intraoral exams. It wasn't too bad, however, remembering what everything is called is a challenge. I can remember where to look & what to look for but not always what it's called. I did extraoral again today. It was better today than last time. No PE's today. I'll get them on Wed. If you're readig this - HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!

Loupes

The rep selling loupes was here today. I tried them on. I'm thinking about getting some but the money is a slight issue right now. As if school & living aren't enough already. We learned extraoral exams today. I'm liking the receiving part. It's just short of a massage. It's not easy trying to remember all the terminology though. As with anything, it will need some time & practice. Talk to ya Monday.

Vitals

Today was interesting. We learned how to take blood pressure. What an experience! It is chalenging. I took it several times & finally heard it the last time today. I'm going to practice @ home.

Yahoo! Another day in Clinic.

Today was a great day! Filling out the health history was a little confusing & there is so much to it! I think it will get better w/ time, I hope it will. I passed my 2nd PE today. It wasn't bad at all. I'm glad I got it done. I practiced "scaling w/ a q-tip again today. That was fun. I like working in the mouth. I'm looking forward to another day in clinic!
