Feb 7th Mockboard

Today was a bit stressful. My patient for mockboards today was a new patient & I had never ever seen him before. So, I had to do everything from scratch. Luckily he quallified (barely for mock board but not for the real thing) & I passed! It turned out to be a good day after all.

This morning was a long one. My pt was 30 min late, had to fill out paperwork & I had Meds to look up, then took a full mouth film series so I only got thru the OD. To top it off, he's only a 1B. Very disappointing! I gave several injections this afternoon. That was fun & I'm feeling more comfortable!

The patient I scheduled for the AM was with a family & they really weren't coming in until the PM so I didn't have a pt. I called my sister to come in but she didn't get here til 9:30 so I only got thru the OD. This afternoon my patient was a 3 last year but she was a 4 today! Yipee!

Today was good. I got a lot done & felt good about it.

First day back!

Today was our first day back from Christmas. My frist patient was 30 min. late & so I only got x-rays & OD done today. She is a class 2 though so that makes me feel a little better. I cleaned Nicole's teeth this afternoon. It went well. I'm still working on getting faster though. It will come......

Last Day

Yahoo!! I'm finally done w/ my requirements! Yeah! It went well, I did an IA & Long Buccal injection today & I didn't even shake uncontrollably! See a next semester!

THis is what it's all about

Today I saw a boy who was 11 yrs old & had never had a cleaning. Needless to say I had to use the purple ultrasonic. It felt so great to be able to get that all off for him & know that it will help him feel so much better! I discovered that this is what it's all about, helping people heal & preventing further disease. It is a good feeling! Yahoo! Only ONE more clinic day left! It has gone by so fast. Only 1 semester to go!

Almost Done

Well... today I saw a class 2 in the AM & got 2 quads of a 3 in the PM. It went quite well PLUS I was able to pass off 4 more PE's YEAH!! 2 weeks to go.

Melt down

Well, today we did the saliva test in lab & I had a complete melt down & completely lost it! I don't know why but it really got to me this morning. I thought that there was absolutely no way I could pass off the PE. However, this afternoon I did the saliva test on my Pt to get it over with & it was fine. I had no problem with it. Today turned out to be a good day!
